Wanted

F seeks any as idea-bouncer. Classic beta-reading skills (grammar, spelling, wtf-use-commas, etc) not necessary. Candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach are a plus, especially if you're the one driving all the way to the beach, but also not necessary. Thoughtful critique, fairly detailed commentary on what you liked and why, equally detailed commentary on what you wanted to see and didn't and why you wanted it, notation of any and all emotional responses from laughter to rage at the author herself, ARE required, and are actually the entire PURPOSE behind the ad.
Must be able to tolerate a Special Sunflower, erratic hours, infrequent updates, and occasional deluges of text, gracefully.

Fandom in question is Slayers(/NEXT/TRY), but good, helpful bouncers are allowed to give me a prompt for another fandom and poke me with a sharp stick until I shell out.

I usually have one or two of these already, but RL swallowed them both whole, and left not even a shoe behind. I'd go get them, but RL has nasty skanky breath and my friends made T_Tface at me when I poked RL in the belly. They must have been navigating a tricky curve of intestine just then.

More than one person is ducky- the more the merrier. ♥

Oh hey. I usually let my friends bounce story ideas off of me at work during the weekdays, because I get so bored up there. If you don't write anything past R (mostly personal preference, but then work filter might eat anything else too), then yeah, I'll volunteer! My work email is mpitts (at) alliedna (dot) com, and my home email is asmary@gmail.com.
There's all levels of material, from PG to M. I'm not going to ask you to review anything you don't feel comfortable reading.

...actually, that might be convenient, since in one story in progress that's SUPPOSED to be a lemon.... but all there is is character interaction and the notation "[sex goes here]" partway through, and then the story continues along. XD

The stories are all set in the same continuity or universe as each other. I made the effort to write them so that they could be read in any order, so I don't think it's important for you to read what's finished... but your mileage may vary. If you use the community's tag for my name, "travellyr," without being logged into LJ, you will not see any of the chapters or stories with lemons, because those are all comm-locked. Or, if you want, I could mail you Word documents of those with the naughty bits removed.
(It'd be like doujin, with the creative blank spaces where genitals go! Only in text! XD)
It's your call.

The two or three works that I reallly want to work with have no actual sex in them, but it is alluded to as having happened off-screen.
Ok, that works! ^_^ I don't mind that sex stuff /happens/ in fanfic, it's more that it just doesn't interest me, and I don't want to get in trouble critiquing it here. XD I wouldn't know what to tell you anyway. c_c;/ *naieve*

It's probably easier for me to keep up with if you can email me the stuff. Do you mind?
^^ Not at all.
Thank you!
